TP Roll Bunnies and Spring Blog Hop

Today we made some simple toilet paper roll bunnies in preparation for Easter.

They're pretty self-explanatory. We painted some cardboard tubes and added google eyes (some of us added more than others), pom poms and construction paper for the ears and teeth. We also added cotton ball tails and black marker whiskers.

Our finished projects:

Some great books to pair with this craft:
The Story of the Easter Bunny Everyone knows that the Easter Bunny comes every year with a basket of painted eggs and chocolates. But who is the Easter Bunny, and what is his story? At last, the famous bunny's secrets are revealed in this delightful tale perfect for springtime.

The Easter Egg Hoppi, a small but industrious bunny, takes a tour of the woods and sees how other rabbits are preparing fancily decorated eggs in the hopes of being chosen to assist the official Easter Rabbit. He collects ideas, tools, and accoutrements from the artistic—and obviously older—bunnies, including flowers, paints, wood to carve, and chocolate. As soon as he decides that he will need to limit his own production to match his capabilities, he suddenly becomes the foster parent to a fallen robin’s egg.
