3-D Shape Snowplow (Craft for Boys)

My four year old is fascinated with snow plows, so we regularly check out the book Snowplows: Machines at Work from the library.  It's a short nonfiction book that describes the different parts of a snowplow and how snowplows keep the roads safe in the winter.

If your little guy (or girl) likes snowplows as much as mine here's a quick craft you can do. It's three dimensional and made from simple shapes, AND my husband knew what it was supposed to be without any hints, which hardly ever happens.

For the background, paint bubble wrap white and use it to stamp snow onto construction paper.

When it's dry, cut three rectangles from construction paper and glue them down.

Make a windshield and wheels from black construction paper and a white crayon.

Use tin foil for the grill and yellow construction paper for the headlights.

Cut a toilet paper roll in half to use for the blade of the snowplow.

Finally, add some cotton ball snow.

My son wants a bulldozer now, so I'll let you know how that turns out.  In the meantime, you might like these other 25 projects for boys.
