Circle Penguin Craft

Do all 3 year olds love scissors?  My daughter uses them any chance she gets and I remember my son being the same way when he was that age.  It's been a while since we've done a craft, so it seemed like a good time to make something that involved lots of scissors practice.  The circles might have been too challenging though, so we finished this craft "together". (She supervised and let me know if the quality of my work fell below her stringent standards.)

To make a penguin like ours, you need 10 circles and one half circle:
I forgot to include the eyes in this picture, but I made them with a paper punch.

Our sort of finished penguin:
She prefers liquid glue to glue sticks. The more the better.

The inspiration for making a penguin came from the book A Penguin Story by Antoinette Portis. Unlike the other penguins, Edna is looking for more than what life is currently offering her - white, black, and blue.  When she finds it, it inspires her to dream even bigger.
