We have read this several times this week and I have a fun surprise planned for my preschoolers for Saturday. I bought some chocolate coins and taped clip art to them. I'm going to "find" two coins (one for each of them) that a leprechaun must have dropped! The coins will have a picture of the mailbox. Once they get to the mailbox, they'll find two coins there with a picture of the refrigerator. In the refrigerator, there will be coins with a picture of the pool table downstairs, etc.
The final clue will lead to the closet which has the pot of gold (an ice cream bucket wrapped in tin foil and filled with beaded necklaces and water swords). It was just too awful looking to even share a picture.
Do you have anything fun planned for your kids for St. Patrick's Day?

How fun! My kids love going on "hunts" of any kind. This book was on our list this week too! :)
