Today we did an easy and fun story retelling.
Peanut Butter Rhino
We've read this story lots of times, but today we decided to make our own squished peanut butter sandwiches out of construction paper. I cut out the pieces
and Drew and Lainey assembled them with glue sticks.
Then we stuck some tape on the back and sat on them.
We had lots and lots of fun going around the house pretending to look everywhere for our peanut butter sandwiches. This was enough to entertain my little ones, but if you wanted to adapt it for older readers you could put a mystery word on their sandwich and have them try to figure it out by asking yes or no questions.

ReplyDeleteGosh that's a sweet idea! I love the idea of putting a word on it and letting the little ones guess what the word is, too!
