Worms for Lunch? Muffin Tin Meal

Drew loves fishing with his Dad so when I saw the cover of Worms for Lunch? in the new section at the library, I grabbed it up.  It's cute and simple.  It's less about fishing and more about how different animals eat different things.  "Who eats worms for lunch?" "Not me!" says the mouse, "I like cheese."

We read this right before lunch so I could serve them a muffin tin meal with the foods from the book.

Here's what they had:
cheese (mouse)
milk (cat)
flower nectar/ actually applesauce (bee)
spaghetti (human)
banana (monkey)
gummy worms (fish)  I was surprised they didn't even eat these!

These are the foods from the book that we didn't have room in the muffin tins for: grass for the cow, seeds for the chick, and fresh fish for the pelican. I would have used a lettuce salad, pumpkin or sunflower seeds, and tuna salad (my kids are hit or miss with that though).
