New Year's Eve Edible Party Hats

These were a whole lot cuter in my head than they ended up being in reality but we had a lot of fun making them so I thought I'd share them in case you're looking for a quick last minute activity.

You only need three ingredients:  Hershey's kisses, frosting, and sprinkles.
Attach the sprinkles with frosting at the top and bottom.
A good book to go with your treats is  P. Bear's New Year's Party: A Counting Book. P. Bear has invited his friends to a New Year's party.  Every time the clock strikes the hour, that many animals show up to the party.  This is a great one for counting and as an introduction to telling time.  It also is a great way to get kids excited about the "countdown".  The illustrations are simple black, white, and red.

I also wanted to take a minute to thank everybody who takes the time to read and comment on this blog.  It really means a lot to me.  Hope you all have a very happy New Year!!!
