If you are planning to do this with fewer kids, you could make paper cutouts with the words already written on them so the kids can actually move them around. In that case, you need four copies of the printable. I used blue paper, but obviously that's optional. Lay out three copies to sort the words onto:
And the fourth will be used as a template to cut out the pieces you'll need. You need 3 sleighs and 9 reindeer. For goodness sakes, pile them up and cut lots out at the same time or you'll be cutting all night and cursing my name. Unless you own one of those cutting machines, which I obviously do not since I'm not even sure what they're called.
Here are the words you'll need to put on the pieces:
- sled, red, bed, fed
- snow, bow, blow, glow
- deer, clear, near,
beercheer
Drew and Lainey aren't able to read and don't quite understand rhyming yet. I color coded the pieces so they could put them together and then I just read the words aloud to them. If you have a reader, you'll want to make all of the pieces the same color or assign them randomly so the paper color doesn't give it away.
I'm also sharing a family tradition (DIY personalized photo ornaments and lots of 'em!) over at One Artsy Mama today! Hope you stop by!!

Great rhyming game! I have to hop over and see those photo ornaments too. They look super cute!
