Halloween Mice

This morning we read Halloween Mice!  It's about some mice who frighten the cat away by making a big scary shadow with their flashlight.  It's a fun Halloween story but not too scary for preschoolers.  This author has written books for lots of other holidays too including Thanksgiving Mice!, Christmas Mice!, and even Fourth of July Mice! My kids love new stories with familiar characters, so this is a great series for us.
We had some Hershey's kisses left over from our witch hat project, and I remembered seeing some chocolate mice online made from kisses.  I looked for a while, but I didn't want to buy anything, so I just came up with my own:
I used the orange frosting to put two kisses together.  The ears are mini M&Ms attached with more frosting.  The eyes and tail are made from frosting.  A black licorice whip tail would be cute but we didn't have any.  These are the only mice I'll be welcoming into my house this Halloween!
