The Cow Loves Cookies
is one of those books where the kids are yelling parts of the story right along with you by the time you finish ( I love those kind). It's one of those stories that repeats and builds. Something like this: The horse eats hay but the cow loves cookies. The horse eats hay, the geese likes corn, but the cow loves cookies. The horse eats hay, the geese likes corn, the pigs like slop, but the cow loves cookies, etc. That is not a direct quote. The story is MUCH more fun with super cute illustrations and rhyming text. Predictable without being boring. We got this from the library and now I want a copy!

What else to do but make some cookies for the cow with my brand new Kitchen Aid mixer? Don't you love it? :)

We used Alton Brown's sugar cookie recipe found
here. I actually met Alton Brown in real life and although I found him to be very unfriendly, the man knows food, so we gave his cookies a try and they were pretty good. We didn't have a cow shaped cookie cutter so we used what we had and just made cow spots on them. I think they turned out cute.
And since we don't actually have access to a cookie lovin' cow, we ate them ourselves.
