- Prepare a cake mix according to package directions.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a bowl and stir in 16 oz. prepared frosting. (We used chocolate and chocolate but there are endless combinations.) Roll the mixture into balls and refrigerate for an hour.
- Dip the cake balls into melted chocolate.
When we were finished, I put them in pretty cupcake liners from Michael's dollar spot and tucked them into a tin. We threw in a few birthday candles and we were all set to party! Putting these on a stick would also be cute!
Here are some fun birthday books we read to get in the spirit of things:
You may have noticed the improved quality of my pictures. I can't take credit. My sister (who is a very talented amateur photographer) was visiting and took the pics for me. Go visit her at Mom of 4 to see more.
And last but not least, I'm thrilled to be a part of the September Fall Crawl organized by the amazing and talented Marilyn over at The Artsy Girl Connection. Today she shows us how to make an adorable fall paper pumpkin. I LOOOOVE this and it's right up my alley! I can't wait to whip one up. Go over there and find out how to make your own!

yum, that looks tasty!
I will be making these on Friday for my small group! Thanks for the recipe. This would also make a great Christmas gift!!!!
I love anything with the word cake in it. These must be AWESOME. I love cake. Thanks for sahring this recipe.
Love this recipe...so easy. Wilton's has supercute animal and star sprinkles that would be perfect for this too.
I might need to skip the sprinkles and drizzle with caramel or cherry liqueur...definitely for an older crowd or Valentine's Day. ;)
I love this idea! Anyone would be happy to get this yummy treat. Thank you for linking up at http://www.messforless.net/2011/09/real-life-tips-blog-link-up.html
